Since I'm the one who'll be setting the type, the simpler the better for my first attempts at typesetting. Also I like the way you write, Dave. I don't like stuffy, academic approaches to art. Art is a right-brained activity and there are no words that can say it like it says it itself. (Just my opinion, folks) Dave wrote, regarding his successful newsletter: > She put together a plan, approached one of the networks, and > sold it to them. Maybe a copy could be made that could be passed around. Maybe we could all contribute to having one made? Or would that be too difficult? What types (excuse the pun) of fonts do you have? I have a generous full set of your standard gothic (in all pts.) so if you run low on letters, just let me know. Lead is a heavy one to send , so I wouldn't be able to loan you the whole set (plus, they're all in their cute big drawers in all the right little compartments -- I'm also a beader, so I know the pains of redistributing!). also, James, I noticed that my name is not on the *oficial* list of participants, so please include me, as I greatly look forward to the exchange! Patsy Wilson btw, I understand that this is a woodblock group and these are all going to be woodblock prints, but how do all of you feel about a little mixed media in the form of hand stitching &/or intaglio with the woodblock? if that is not an option, I am in no way going to feel troubled, as I know that the pure tradition of woodblock printing deserves it's space, and this forum is, indeed, one of it's most sacred spaces! :) Walk Brightly! I have access to American re-broadcasts networks of Japanese television out of Hawaii, and if I know what to look for, and it is one of the programs that they re-broadcast, I can make a few copies of it with English subtitles to send around. That seems very fast. How many prints do you do in an edition anyway? Jack Reisland ------------------------------ End of Baren Digest V4 #249 ***************************
