Merry Christmas.... First off, Merry Christmas too... My place is about half-way between Tokyo and Kyoto in the area called Chubu. The nearest city is Nagoya and I'm about an hour away by car, up in the hills on the very outskirts of Okazaki... which is just in the right location to get all the flak from both "capitals" as now I neither belong to one camp or the other. Great to be sitting on the fence... Print on... You certainly deserve all the publicity. Hope we get to see the English-language version. I would love to see you printing the 100th print. Have fun at the Emperors! Grahm, thanks for the Certificate of Authenticity, I must work out semething similar. And Julio, is there an extra exchange set because Grahm dropped out? or did someone else join up? We're all printing 30, right? I think it would be nice to have an extra set for exhibition or educational purposes, or to donate to a worthy organization. Too many of my prints end up spending years in my drawer. One of the great things about the exchange is that it's a way get work out into the world, among fellow woodcut lovers! Show people what hanga can do. Best wishes to all for a creative New Year! Congratulations on all your honors and completion of your project. And thank you for sharing your wonderful experience. You have created a rich center for all of us here on the Baren line. We can hardly wait to hear about your January date with the Emperor and Empress. To all Bareners.......happy holidays !.... Eliz ------------------------------ From: "Jeanne N. Gayle had to drop out {according to a post from her} because her mom is ill and she could not finish her print. And Graham is not in. James, Did Gayle notify you that she was not in the exchange now? So it would be nice if we knew exactly how many prints we should have now. I guess that news will be forthcoming. Anyway, have a GREAT CHRISTMAS and we will be back in business after all the presents are unwrapped, all the turkey is gone and all the egg nog has disappeared.
