If you are interested , her name is Carole Baker, P.O. Box 56, Gustavus, AK 99826. She has her own tiny gallery in Gustavus so I do not feel bad making her name public. She is an accomplished water colorist and, I think, got started printmaking with intaglio, but wanted more colors. She took a (hanga) workshop down in Vancouver a few years back and has said she might do a workshop for us in Sitka if enough here are interested. Most of those tools are for carpentry and woodjoining I think. I'd consider the set of five MICHI woodcarving tools (it's "one"set:) on page 60 and forget the mallet for now. I'd also purchase a combination waterstone (a or b) on page 42 and learn to use it, without a sharp edge any tool is useless. I'm only a beginner tho and you may want change from my .02cents worth . Perhaps my choices may elicit further comment from more experienced members. I thought we had to have one with our bullnosed chisel. I forgot it had to do with kind of wood, too. Oops. No mallet then? Jack, thanks for the information sizewise on the bullnosed chisels. * * * Sarah asked about sized papers from Daniel Smith. They used to have a chart in their catalog that told about which papers were sized. The new catalog doesn't seem to have it. I don't know why they wouldn't have that chart available any longer, but I found it helpful in the past. I haven't ordered from them in a long time, so the change in the catalog came about without me knowing. Also, William, you mentioned using Mulberry paper with no problems. Were you using the paper dampened as in hanga style printing, or were you using it dry? This is important to Sarah because she uses dampened paper and sizing would be necessary. Also, William, do you have any work on a website we could see?
