[Baren]: The mailing list / discussion forum for woodblock printmaking. Baren Digest Saturday, 8 May 1999 Volume 07 : Number 556 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Jean Eger Date: Fri, 07 May 1999 07:41:19 -0700 Subject: [Baren 4344] Re: Baren Digest V7 #555 When my print goes up on the Brickbats page, http://woodblock.com/forum/critique.html I invite everyone to critique it. Your input is so valuable, you have no idea. The print was inspired by an off-list argument that old Ray and I were having--the Ray who is no longer on the list. It was done in a hurry, because I had previously made a print without using paper size, and it was not working out. Instead of printing more, I made a new design. But maybe I'm jumping the gun. Julio's charming baren group is still up there. Jean Eger ------------------------------ From: "Jeanne N. I never know what he is going to do next. I guess I am lucky as I do not have to do a thing. If you are not busy, check it out at; http://pages.prodigy.net/studiojnc Phil Thanks for the address of the person who does chops. I am going to send for his catalog. The page has now been updated, and Jean is waiting for your comments on her work. *** Jeanne wrote: > My son has taken my web page as his hobby and has seen the slide show on the > Baren.. So he now put one on my web page ... The work is very interesting Jeanne, and very well presented. My only request would be that you adjust the timing so that each image would remain longer. Perhaps it's because I have a fast internet connection, I don't know, but each one only stays on the screen for a couple of seconds - not long enough by far. *** The following exhibition announcement has been making the rounds of the various print-related mailing lists over the last few days. _Our_ members too should see it I think. >RELATIVITIES: 4TH BRITISH INTERNATIONAL >MINIATURE PRINT EXHIBITION. > >ORGANISED BY OFF-CENTRE GALLERY BRISTOL >AND LOUGHBOROUGH UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF ART AND DESIGN. > > >Relativities will build on the success of the three previous tours of >miniature prints which have been organised in Britain since 1989.
