I'm sure all of us who entered will be receiving those today (or soon). Congratulations to April Vollmer for winning the JAWK (Japan America Women of Kansai) first prize! Thank you, especially, Richard Steiner, for shepherding us into this show!!! I cherish my certificate. I can't agree with that. Sure, it certainly can be: archival paper, sharkskin, $1300 barens, studio rental fees, cherry wood planks, etc. However, printmaking does not have to be that expensive. I'll save my money from the $1300 baren and just print at home, thank you! :-) 28 by the way... ------------------------------ From: Maria Arango Date: 12 Jul 99 20:53:43 PDT Subject: [Baren 4933] web page op While updating my website I spotted the awefully blank and empty "Invited Artist" page or pages. So here is an invitation to: Any print artist in Baren who does not currently have their own website, to submit up to 5 images to be displayed for a month. I will put the images up on my site in the "Invited Artist" link, with your name on the index page of the website and enlargements for all the images. No scanner or digital camera is necessary, I will scan if need be. Check out my site first and see if you would like to be in my virtual company. If anyone is interested please e-mail me personally, not to the list, and we will work out the gory details. No strings attached, really; as you can see by what Dave has done for all of us, it's in the spirit of the Internet. First e-mail gets the spot! Previously anonymous Lurkers encouraged. Health to all, Maria ------------------------------ End of Baren Digest V8 #626 ***************************
