I used them in school and they give a great impression and you can screw up a bunch of them with no fear (they're cheap!). For ink, I use diluted sumi ink on a standard ink pad from office supplies. I did not find "empty" pads, so I wasted the contents of a refillable pad by applying the entire pad to scrap paper many many times until dry. Even if you use standard ink-pad ink, I have my grandfather's passport, yellowed and cracking, but with bright red seals from the Cuban government still present in all their glory. RE: ink containers I racked my brain trying to find tiny ink containers for those little globs that are too big to throw away and too small to put in a tube... so I came up with a Crayola kiddie set of non-toxic poster paints that come in tiny sealable plastic containers, all for a whopping $1.89. My local art supply store had some similar ones for $2.45 each! I used to use film canisters, but the ink dried out after a while and they were too big for some of my globs. I don't know where Amanda Yopp is vacationing, but her work is online on the Invited Artist spot in my web site. Her work is alive and fresh. Check it out!
