My apologies for sending everyone a complete copy of the previous day's digest attached to my last message. In my haste to reply before running out the door I forgot to snip the tail of it off. It's one of those things I always find most annoying when others do, so I'm doubly irritated with myself! In other news, did I mention I picked up two beautiful Hokusai prints the other day? The image is a diptych printed in 1849 from the "Gafu" series. Lovely soft colors; an image of women attending to laundry in a stream on the left panel, a man and a boy in a boat on the right. In the background are tiny little figures working in the field. Gorgeous. I picked it up from a gallery that seems to have been here forever, but is going out of business for good in April as the founder passed away last year. If I'm not mistaken, their website can be found at http://www.gilbertlubergallery.com. Take a look... their prices are great! This will help when I make my next James Mundie inspired woodcut. If my storage file weren't locked and almost impossible to change, I would have two more examples of this kind of James Mundie style to show everyone on my webpages. If I ever get around that problem, then I'll post those there.
