I went to their web site and tried to contact them but have received no answer.... this was several weeks ago now so decided to move on to other companies. Polymetaal has at least acknowledged my inquiries. I phoned them yesterday (long distance) and have yet to hear from them. As soon as I do I will let you know. I will also ask them pointedly ..... if they are in business to do business...... (More, how to win friends and influence people by Scholes coming up) as you are not the only one having communication problems. I have been using cherry plywood for my blocks, easy, relatively = inexpensive, good result. Now however the manufacturers have changed = the product using paper thin veneer over a kind of pressed board core. = Does anyone still have a source for high grade cherry ply? I live in = California, so it would have to be this part of the world. I had to smile :) - yes, I've been doing it for a while, but using oil based inks and an etching press. My few attempts with a baren and water based inks resulted in a complete gloppy mess. I have an article on it from printmaking Today(I think that is the name of the british print magazine) I would be happy to look it up at the office if you were interested. It was written by a Danish printer, I think.
