I'm a bookbinder and have been using it for 10 years on my bindings. >this may already have been answered but where does one buy pva glue?< Jackie Humminbird Bookbinding Norfolk, Virginia ------------------------------ From: "Bea Gold" Date: Mon, 5 Mar 2001 08:56:38 -0800 Subject: [Baren 13712] Re: Elated! charset="iso-8859-1" I love your Baren Mall story, Julio. I had the same experience and am getting ready to order more! I also enjoyed your link. What is the diffrence exactly? It works perfectly - have never had a problem. I put enough MGR in until the ink is about the consistency of sour cream and goes swish swish swish when I roll it out and has a surface on the palette like fine crepe. (It really reminds me of a fabric called "po de swa", but I don't recall how to spell it! Pois de soie?) And, roll it out very, very, thin and put several layers on the block rolling east and west, north and south, several times. It should work like gangbusters. Acid free also applies to plastic and many glues are polymer based and will not redisolve in water, even though they are water soluble when wet. I thought that meant it was preservation quality. So then if I buy a heet of acid free paper it is archival or is there something else I am unaware of? There seems that there is a lot of different approaches to oil based inks and anything that prints is fair play. Eli Griggs Charlotte N.C.
