Baren Digest Wednesday, 13 June 2001 Volume 15 : Number 1454 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- From: "Robert" Date: Tue, 12 Jun 2001 07:57:16 -0700 Subject: [Baren 14804] invite boundary Hi, I want to apologize for the invite I sent out. I am trying out a new way to send "postcards" to my clients. This thing works well but it took my entire mailing list, not just the ones I had selected. I ended up inviting Ebay, art.com, and a few other "people"... I will learn this system and do better next time! Thanks Robert PS,If any of you are in the area, feel free to respond and come on down. ------------------------------ From: "Alan Basist" Date: Tue, 12 Jun 2001 13:38:08 -0500 Subject: [Baren 14805] sharpening my japanese carving tools on stones Help! I've just received sharpening stones from our baren mall in addition to the plastic baren and dry pigments. I can't wait to use the pigments and see the color comparision. I can't find on the Baren Encyclopedia "How to sharpen your cutting tools?". I have a tool set made in Japan for japanese wood block carvings and am afraid I will ruin the tips unless I get advice on how to rub them correctly and move them in the right direction. How much water do I put on the stones? Go to , and type in "sharpening" in the search blank, and you will find pages and pages of past messages covering sharpening. Jack Alan Basist wrote: > Help!
