April ------------------------------ From: Legreenart@cs.com Date: Thu, 2 Aug 2001 21:47:01 EDT Subject: [Baren 15319] Re: Baren Digest V16 #1509 Dear Jean, Congratulations on the art teaching job. Twenty years ago, after being a "good girl" for Mom, and being a nurse for 8 years, I swore to only work in art related jobs from there on out. Now, after 3 years of reading, I have been "assigned" by the district to teach social studies. I took a year off to finish a masters in education an visual art four years ago, and I haven't taught art since. The one thing this job has going for it, I am now determined to find a way to start working at the studio full time by Christmas. Meanwhile, I am supposed to be making kids believe that being educated brings satisfaction.
