Great for oversized bookbinding. Both are large workhorses. The paper beater was built by Art Shade, in NY. It is the same beater that Dieu Donne has. Are you or anyone you know interested in them? It is a series of value reduction b&W watercolor paintings he did while traveling around the country after his studio had burned. Apparently he had two or three solo shows of paintings upcoming and lost them all. - Brian - ------------------------------ From: Mike Lyon Date: Tue, 08 Jan 2002 15:20:15 -0600 Subject: [Baren 16661] Bobbie Mandel !! Exchange #12 Wait Listers: #1 Bobbie Mandel #2 Daniel L. Dew #3 Gilda Machado - Zimmerling #4 Carole Baker Due to the disastrous fire in Jean Norman Chase's studio, she will be unable to participate in Exchange #12. Therefore, I am looking to 'bump' the first available wait-listed member to full exchange status. Your prints are due on Feb 1. See http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Baren12/ for additional details. I would like to hear from each of you (Bobbie Mandel, Dan Dew, Gilda and/or Carole) by January 12 whether or not you are prepared to participate in the exchange. On January 13 I will assign the open spot to the lowest numbered wait-lister who responds and will let you all know who the lucky person (if any) is! I wish we could wait longer for replies, but Feb 1 is just around the corner so there isn't enough time to wait longer. So it goes. Print Alliance Hi guys, A friend of mine suggested I join the American Print Alliance, but I see on their website that Baren is already a member. Does that mean that since I'm a member of this group, that I'm automatically a member of that group, too? Sorta confusing... I'd like to start getting their journal...do I understand it right that the cost would be $30? And what about using the member's only part of their website? How do I do that? Is that just for members, or subscribers? Thanks for any information.... Looking forward to seeing what is at the post-office. I will be printing a cover for the portfolio for the fireman prints. In the list I submitted were the prints I had on hand if they were mailed to someone else I have not received them yet. I have not been opening the packages after the first three as i quickly realized it would be better for the prints to be wrapped tight until i need to open them (that was very difficult as i wanted to see them but was afraid they would get damaged) I am sorry to hear about the fire in the studio, The best thing to do about depression is to carve some wood.
