Baren Digest Sunday, 7 April 2002 Volume 19 : Number 1790 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Aqua4tis@aol.com Date: Sat, 6 Apr 2002 08:06:19 EST Subject: [Baren 17799] Re: Letter to Editor/Baren carol bravo you have done a wonderful job here georga ------------------------------ From: G Wohlken Date: Sat, 06 Apr 2002 09:05:44 -0500 Subject: [Baren 17800] Re: Baren Digest V18 #1789 A reminder to everyone (especially, the new folks). If you receive the digest form of the Baren Forum messages, your email program probably automatically quotes the whole digest below your message and this appears (as you probably know by now) underneath your message in the next day's digest. As archivist, this makes for a lot of weeding for me when getting that day's digest ready to put online in the Baren Archives. I would request that everyone take a little time to go through and delete all but the portion of the message you are replying to. We all have done this by the way (accidentally left the whole quoted digest in our reply message), but it does help me, as well as those reading the digest if we try to remember not to do it. Diane ------------------------------ From: Cucamongie@aol.com Date: Sat, 6 Apr 2002 09:36:55 EST Subject: [Baren 17802] editioning question Hi, I have a question about editioning. I have a solarplate print to which I am going to be adding writing in pencil, plus some hand-coloring, etc. I imagine I will be doing the same kind of manipulation to each one (perhaps 15 in the edition or so), though each will look different. Is this considered a variable edition or a mixed media piece or what? Please respond offline as I only get the digest version of Baren, and I'm trying to get this together to send out as soon as I can. best wishes, Sarah ------------------------------ From: Cucamongie@aol.com Date: Sat, 6 Apr 2002 10:35:54 EST Subject: [Baren 17803] Keith's book Hi all, a very kind Baren member (I'm afraid to post their name for fear that they'll be inundated with similar requests!) has offered to xerox their book for me - thanks everybody- best wishes Sarah ------------------------------ From: "Dan Sabo" Date: Sat, 6 Apr 2002 12:19:42 -0500 Subject: [Baren 17804] Re: Electro Etching - off topic... Actually I was told yesterday that this an off topic subject because it does not involve relief printmaking. I think the best thing to do Diane, is for me refer you and all other enquiries about electric etching to the discussion board http://frank.mtsu.edu/~art/printmaking/wwwboard/wwwboard.html there I found all kinds of info you need about Electro etching. Also post questions there because there are people who visit there who do electric etching. Hi All, Since I have seen so much discussion here about electrical etching the past few days, I decided to create a new discussion forum dedicated to this very subject. The web address is http://www.dansabo.com/cgi-bin/agnes.cgi?ElectretchAgnes+ElectretchAgnesHTML I hope people use it, and that at least some people interested in the subject will find it to be a useful place to share ideas and technique. I appreciate your efforts, even though I did not participate. I did send Barbara Mason a print for the APA show, however. And I did the 911 theme for the big print exchange.
