Ontario? Hi, This may seem like an off topic silly question but here goes. We were on vacation last week and on the way home drove through a small town in Pennsylvania called (I think) Limestone City. Does anyone know if this town used to (or still is) near a limestone quarry? And/or if this town was ever involved in supplying limestone for litho stones? I think there is also a town in Ontario called Limestone City. Was limestone for use of Litho Stones ever mined in the US? Any idea of how much it would cost to ship a stone or two to me here in Queensland, Australia? I heard on NPR the other day that it started from a Monty Python sketch where they sang "Spam, spam, spam, spam, spam...." to a particular tune we all know & if I could remember the name of it I would say so [:-)] At any rate, there must be some button you punch which enables your system or server to filter this stuff out, because I have received very little of it and have no idea why. I did, however, receive the Nigeria email wanting the help with their money - ha ha. I guess everyone on the planet received that one, filters or no. And, while I have your attention - there are only a couple more weeks to sign up for LPE I. If you're interested zip over to http://www.rst- art.com/lpe.htm and sign up before 9/1/02! In school we were always told that the limestones for lithography only came from one quarry in Italy... never heard of stones being quarried in the US.
