His email is ar_alnaim#yahoo.com So perhaps he will see this and contact you. He does not answer email well, I think he looks at it occasionally so be patient....maybe at a cyber cafe and not at his home...or maybe he is just really busy. best to you, Barbara > Hi , > Does anyone out there know of woodblocks in Bulgaria? Good job!!! Can we sneak in a few woodblocks? I plan to go, but one never knows. We are expecting a grandchild April 1st...so if it is late or early I will be there. Although what could I possibly do here except be excited???? I will also have a solarplate in a show at SGC, in an exhibit called the "Solar Plate Revolution", I am unsure where it will be but somewhere in Boston. best to all, Barbara > I just got some good news, I'll have one of my solarplate prints in the Boston Printmakers American Print Biennial, which is the site of the opening reception for SGC. These videos were both in Japanese but had been translated into a tidy booklet that went with the tapes. Origianlly there were two videos. I received a tape a while ago that had both videos on one tape and one translation for the second video, or second half of the tape. Also there was a CD with Michael Snyders work on it that was going around. If anyone can shed light on this, please post. If there is still interest in seeing these tapes also speak up and we will get them circulating again. thanks and best to all Barbara Here is the info on the videos: Video 1, first half of tape I have: David Bull and the 'Hyakunin Isshu' A half-hour video from Japanese NHK television. Describes and shows David's project of making a set of one hundred woodblock prints. Not a 'how to make prints' video, but includes scenes shot in various craftsman's workshops around Tokyo. Entirely in Japanese. (NTSC format) Second video, 2nd half of the tape I have with translation booklet: Documentary Human Theatre: 'Hyakunin Isshu Reborn' - a Canadian woodblock printmaker's ten year challenge ... A one-hour video from Japanese television. Similar to the above item, but longer and more comprehensive. Entirely in Japanese, but comes with a small booklet with basic outline of the program script. (NTSC format) Prints of Michael Schneider (CD) where is this???? A book on Michael's prints and his printmaking process. The CD-ROM (playable using a web browser on either Windows or Mac systems) includes images of the prints and video footage of Michael at work. Multilingual (German, English, Japanese, ...) ------------------------------ From: Aqua4tis#aol.com Date: Tue, 19 Nov 2002 02:20:01 EST Subject: [Baren 19875] Re: videos barbara im the culprit as far as michael schneiders cd is concerned im so sorry i have it and if youll let me know where to send it i will get it in the mail georga ------------------------------ End of Baren Digest V21 #2032 *****************************
