I'm not actively printing at the moment as the images just do not seem to come to mind. Hopefully something will come along in the New Year. Any one else suffering from "Printers Block"? I'm going to unsubscribe for a while but then hope to come back refreshed with something for an exchange. Hey, Sharrie, come on and jump off the cliff with me, and lets just have some free fall fun! The sooner we make our inevitable mistakes attempting hanga, the sooner we'll get over our fear of it, neh? I recently read something in the archives by John Amoss about his first essays in hanga and just look at where he is now ! Is not that most inspiring or not? In any event, it's too late now for me to back out-ready or not , I've invested so much time , paper, labor and Sumi in 2003's new year card that imperfect specimens as they are, that's what everybody's getting as soon as I print the remaining 32 needed. Oh, and least I forget, I wanted to tell you that at least you get to go to OZ. I'll have to depend on reports from participants. Could I talk you into taking my marubake with you to practice shaping them? (just kidding)... A mutual friend of David Bull and self just gave me a whole bag full of small shina wood blocks that were leftovers from his hanga days. they are about 3x4 inches to 3.5x4 inches, and after looking at a link that the Lyon recently gave the forum think it wood be fun to try some 2x27/8" hanga. You may all laugh very loudly now...but I am just nuts enough to try this, given that I don't seem to be able to control this inexplicable urge to jump off cliffs and try something new. And speaking of sheep/goat cards, my stable now holds magnificent specimens from Jan Telfer (Jan, did you use wood or linoleum?), and Frank Truba. I watch my mailbox with great interest these days. It's so much fun wondering what's going to arrive next. In any event, may I wish each and every one of you and your families the best of the season, and a very merry ffuts and erom to you all...
