So far I have ruined 2 blocks, about 4 sheets of paper, got rice paste all over the place. Kento marks in the wrong places. Crooked colors runs. About 20 cups of coffee and now am starting on the real thing!!! I figure , nothing else could happen. My attempt will probably be the kindergarten 101 Hanga in the bunch. AAArrrrgggghhh Keep on John Center. That goat of yours is a stunner!! You mean to say that all of that bad stuff was good practice, or I will be drinking more and more coffee? Luckily I have enough paper for more printing. Well, off I go again. Block is cut again , just imbibed 3 cups of coffee to build up my reserve and here I go. Maybe I am listening to the wrong music whilst I work. "Country Western". I should have just emailed you directly with the question but I guess it is fine that everybody knows the answer now if they want to. My #15 print is looking very strange. I started out thinking I would do some sort of a bird and then I was scrunching it into that 5x15" space and started thinking about putting a border around it... which turned into a box with a bird in the box... but what in the world was the bird *doing* in that box?? Why, reading a book of course! :-) Okay, well, you'll just have to wait and see it. But the process was fun! Me and my buddy Dali. - Brian - ps- However! I still reserve the right to change my mind and do something completely different without further notice! ------------------------------ From: "Jeanne N. It looks like I might be able to get mine done in time. At least it dries in a hurry. I like my new image for the exchange and if it does not work in Hanga then I will do it in oils.=20 I am going to keep it simple, that way I will not get into too much trouble (I think) Jeanne N. ------------------------------ From: Wanda Date: Tue, 07 Jan 2003 11:40:29 -0800 Subject: [Baren 20336] Re: Baren Digest V22 #2085 on 1/7/03 7:27 AM, Mike Lyon at mikelyon#mlyon.com wrote: > At 10:26 AM 1/7/2003 -0500, Jeanne N. wrote: >> I figure , nothing else could happen. > > Wrong, wrong, wrong! LOTS of other stuff will always happen! :-) Yup, something always happens. Sometimes it's good, sometimes not. I was printing #15 late into the night last night & I knocked (not just "tipped") my bowl of yellow pigment over.... Yellow pigment everywhere - but it did not get on my prints. So, lucky me! This has become a long and laborious print - I sure hope it turns out like the one in the back of my mind. :-) I think doing Hanga is a lot like life - stuff happens while you're planning other things.
