Barbara & Cindy,

Hey! We DO have an organization! It is the Print Arts Northwest, aka
Northwest Print Council www.printartsnw.org. Anyone can join as a
Friend, and anyone living in the NW (OR, WA, ID, MT, NV, AK, HI,
Alberta & BC, Canada) can apply for Artist Membership. We are a great
group for printmakers working in all techniques. Check us out! All
the details for membership are on the web site, join as a Friend and
receive your choice of a great print FREE.

To Barbara P in Isaquah - I'm in Washington State, too, and I feel the same
way about the "polarity" - we might as well be on the South and North poles!

I've lived here a long time and saw the history of printmaking orgs -
sometimes very close up. In Seattle we have the Seattle Print Arts, and I
was a member awhile and went to some meetings. They were nice, and evolved
into some pleasant evening "salons". http://www.seattleprintarts.org/

But, maybe I'm like you - not a "groupie". But I do love people and I've
found a salon which works for me. It just doesn't focus on prints and other
media arts unfortunately (or, maybe fortunately?).

Someday, we'll meet. I'll keep an eye out for you at Daniel Smith.
