Well, after a total waste of two weeks for a carpal tunnel injury (I
lost all feeling in my thumb), I finally got the prints completed.
Signing, trimming, etc.... today, prints should go out today or
tomorrow.
Once again, sorry for the delay, I feel rotten about it.

"First Cab off the Rank"...... Thank you Tom Kristensen for your
Rooster card of Colonel Sanders!! How appropriate is that? I love the
humour it portrays as well as the quality of your printing ...... that
will set a precident for all Bareners to get their cards out early
maybe.... the early bird catches the worm, doesn't it?

Hello,
if you are in town, come and see my recent work and attend a series of
demonstrations on ink-making, carving and printing woodblock prints (or
just to say hi), and see what I learned from Mr. Dave.

AsiaAlive at the Asian Art Museum, San Francisco: Contemporary
Japanese-style woodblock prints
November 20–December 12
Thursday through Sunday
Noon–4:00 pm, Samsung Hall
FREE with museum admission

Italian-born artist Marco Flavio Marinucci has worked exclusively in
the Japanese method of woodblock printmaking since 1997. Watch
Marinucci create his contemporary expression using the traditional
process of carving original sketches into hardwood plates and pulling
each print by hand. The prints themselves are as distinctly
contemporary and cosmopolitan as his subjects, drawing upon a world of
visual influences: German Expressionist printmaking, Islamic
calligraphy, and Maori tattoos, in addition to Hokusai and other
Japanese masters of the woodblock medium. Make your own artwork
inspired by Marinucci or Tetsuya Noda, whose works, on view through
January 16, 2005, also incorporate woodblock printing. Videos and books
expand your knowledge of Japanese printmaking and contemporary art.

Hello Bareners,

I thought this person's auctions might be of interest to some
here...Here is a description of her general stuff, and an URL...says
will do it on eBay only...but you might find a deal such as this cool
old round-corner cutter...she mentions exotic paper etc...

Hi Robin Morris--

You sent us this link:

See a small engraving based on a Rockwell Kent illustration...

But I couldn't get the page, got the_page not available_message. Also the
one below:

OT-The waves are really crashing here so we set up a webcam...if
> you're lucky you may see some poor sod get soaked...refreshes about
> every 5 seconds...http://nspirationz.com/webcam.html

I couldn't get anything from this one but a couple verticle black bars in a
blue field. Am I too late to see this stuff (did you already take it off
the web) or can you fix the links? Thanks!

Dear Baren people

The political agendas exchange is now closed to new participants. The works
that have been received so far look good. Feel free to have a look and see
what you missed out on or as the case may be with some of you, managed to
avoid!

The images that were created can be found at
http://www.gallery451printmakers.com/exchange001/index.html and I will be
posting them as they arrive.

This will be the last post from me on the exchange (or very near to last if
I can help it). Feel free to join the Gallery 451 Printmakers list server
if you want to engage in some robust political chat and information or just
to see what's going on with the gallery.

The list can be joined at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/gallery451/

My thanks to you all for persevering and allowing this most controversial
exchange the space to piggyback on the baron list.

Kind regards

Lawrence Finn
