Since I do not have Sharri's email address in my book I am sending this
through the main list. I contacted my old friends at Gresham City Hall
about doing a show some time after the 2006 summit. Connie Otto, the
committee liason will present the idea to the committee and we may have a
date to show there. Will be working on other possibilities later. so start
planning on bringing out a piece of work when you come to the summit for
doing some shows in the pacific northwest.
How about a few of you star hanga printers, Mike, April and others are you
going to plan on coming out for 2006 we want you . If I did not mention
your name it is too many to list all the fine artists we have who could give
so much.

I've gone through the Archives but still don't have it figured out, so maybe
someone can correct me:

The 2005 Summit will be in the Portland area. Some Baren people who are old
pals of Barbara's will be staying with her, but--is there suggested housing
or campgrounds for the rest of us? Where will the summit be held (building,
address)? Will there be a fee this year to pay related expenses?

What about those of us who would like to show up but are complete failures
at moku hanga printing? Can we drop by, or drop in to watch, if only to
make the rest of you feel totally competent? Carole Baker was good enough
to have me over last summer to practice a few days in Gustavus. Although I
produced some truly ugly prints, I did pick up a lot of ideas, so dropping
in is not all looky-loo!

This has probably already been discussed to death, but I couldn't find the
information I was looking for about the summit in the archives.

P.S. Kate Mundie's painting is awesome.

Hi Michelle,

So far, the proposed Baren Summit will be Aug. 14 - 18, NEXT YEAR 2006
at Sharri LaPierre's. The accomodations haven't been put to detail yet,
but there are also campgrounds, hotels, and other Baren members who will
be helping out.

Looking forward to meeting you and others.
