don't worry about offending...everyone on this list is pretty ok with each other, I doubt anyone was offended.
As for those tools, if you get to Portland bring them for tool shaprening 101 class. Where there is metal there is hope.

Oody,
There is a tool you can purchase from the various woodworking catalogs
which will hold the tool at the proper angle as you sharpen it. I
don't recall what it is called, but you will know it when you see it.
It keeps you from rotating your wrist and undoing what you have just
done.
