Hi,

I'm new and because of this clear message from Wanda I
am trying out posting on this list. I guess you would
say I 'm a lurker. I am a little confused about the
posts - messages often come to me repeated over and
over and over and with programming notations.

I registered for Exchange #26. I am a friend of
Sylvia Taylor of Ithaca, NY and Cork, Ireland. We
enjoy working together here in Ithaca, NY. I am a
member of The Ink Shop Printmaking Center.

Looking forward to making an edition for the exchange.

HI, hope everyone is having a wonderful summer, except for those in places where I know it is winter. In response to Wandas advice on getting your email to the Baren I use a very simple technique, I always keep one copy of the digest (the most recent one) in my inbox. Than when I have someting to say I hit the reply button. Never had a problem.
Today I downloaded 12 monotype prints onto my blog. They are a series. If interested go take a peek.

Welcome Jae!

I'm so glad that my simple instructions have lured you out
of the virtual bushes!

A short explanation of the repetition of messages is this:
If your e-mail program is set to 'quote' the message you are
answering - it will quote the *whole* thing. Unless you go in
and highlight & delete the parts that are not relevant. And
occasionally someone will answer a message enclosed in the digest
version - so the e-mail program attaches the whole shebang! It is
easy to reset your e-mail program not to quote at all & it's easy
to highlight & delete the parts you don't want to quote. As you
can see below - I've deleted part of your message & noted that
by inserting the little notation.

Of course this happens accidentally for most of us, so you learn
to ignore the excess quotations. Just an "oops" part of
most lists. The html code is caused by the server not handling
that code or pictures on the list. I haven't figured out how we
can turn off that option on AOL. We try for 'plain text' settings
most of the time.

Will be glad to see your prints in exchange #26! You are in
good company with Sylvia! Her prints are always wonderful.

Hi Marilynn,

I like the vibrancy of the yellow one on the bottom. 8-] Looks like an angel with wings. Nice work.
