Dear Jan (and all) --

Thanks so much for the reminder! YIKES!

I've suffered something of a disaster here, having crashed my main disk
drive (which included all the baren stuff) some weeks back -- I have been
able to only partially recover my database for exchange #29 and 29a (I have
recovered records only of the first 44 sign-ups through around day 3) and am
attempting to add email addresses to the remaining names on the lists (which
are correctly displayed on the sign-up page with the exception of a few
additional wait-listers who've recently registered)... Unfortunately, my
email records were never backed up at all and seem to be lost forever.

Darrell Madis, Julie Sparks, and Robert Viana all volunteered early to
coordinate (in that order), and as Darrell has already coordinated once,
I've written Julie (for the exchange proper) and to Robert (for the salon)to
ask if they're still feeling up to the task -- I hope to hear from each of
them soon and will let you know if I need additional volunteers.

I should be able to compile everyone's email addresses by reviewing the
archives and searching for each name in the list -- I will let you know very
soon if I am unable to discover the discover the contact information for any
of the participants so that they may write me directly.

Thanks for your patience -- I should be back to 95% pretty soon!

Best,

Mike

I believe I have successfully recovered all but one of the email addresses
for exchange #29 and #29a (Salon).

PRESTON LAWING - please contact mikelyon@mlyon.com immediately so that I can
add your email address to the exchange #29a (Salon - the nude) contact list.
I can not find any posting to the baren forum from you and if I do not hear
from you soon I may be forced to drop your name from the exchange.

Thanks so much for your patience, everyone!

Mike

Thanks to Julie Sparks coordinator29@barenforum.org and Robert Viana
coordinator29a@barenform.org for volunteering to coordinate the
Exchange-Proper and Salon de Refusé for #29 “The Nude” exchange. Complete
contact information and details are available at
http://barenforum.org/exchange/exchange_29/exchange_29.html

If you have signed up for either or both exchanges and decide you can not
complete prints, please let the appropriate coordinator know by July 1, 2006
(the deadline for withdrawal without penalty) so we can arrange for others
to step into your place.

Thanks so much,

Mike

Hi, Mike...

My name appears twice on the Refuse list... I wanted to be on the waiting list for the first and definitely be on the second. I just need a clarification...

Thanks in advance...

I'm so excited right now, I just had to share, so
forgive my "message from nowhere." I JUST got done
buying a Vandercook Proof Press for my printing of
relief prints. I had read that they can work for
relief printing (though obviously not as efficiently
as etching presses). One was put up for sale in my
area and I went out there to check it out, along with
a linoblock, some ink and paper!. We set it up and ran
the press roller over the block and it did a wonderful
job. So, I went home with the press and now I can't
wait to get out to the studio and play with it!

Ok, I'm done sharing my silly randomness!

Good Morning all,
I got a prospectus in the mail for the forum from the Silvermine Guild Arts Center in CT. Here is the info, it looks worth sending slides to.
http://www.silvermineart.org/gallery/print06/print.html
The prospectus was addressed to the "baren woodcut forum".....lots of people add woodcut to our name. I guess that is because they do not know what a baren is.
Best to all and good luck on the entry if you decide to go for this,
Barbara
