Yes, me too. After now, embarrassment and misc. projects, I still have
about twenty to do. I remember making a big, written public deal. (red
face) about how I would send ALL MY PRINTS AT ONCE. Yes, that was me and I
didn't do it!!

out how. Bea

Taking a break from printing the big "Sara" (42 x 77 inches) to write this
(and dry off a bit) - I've completed 14 of the 17 blocks for this "Japanese
Technique" woodblock print and it's coming along nicely - now if only I can
keep from blowing it at the end. Even though I keep dripping sweat onto the
blocks and papers, it's very difficult to keep the sheets evenly dampened
and I've resorted to printing several of the later blocks by hand
using both coarse and medium barens. But I have to say, it's a LOT less
sweaty (and actually better printing - smoother) using the press, but the
paper does tend to wrinkle over some of the edge-support areas - I'll have
to try to solve that problem on the NEXT print, though. Anyway, thought you
might get a kick out of seeing some woodcut work from me for a change:

(movie and a couple of photos of the prints in progress).

The workshop I was scheduled to teach August 25 through 29 at Peters Valley
in Layton New Jersey was cancelled day before yesterday because they had
only four students registered - I'm surprised how relieved I feel - gives me
some much-needed time to prepare for the Sept 1 opening of an exhibition of
my recent prints and drawings at Sherry Leedy Contemporary Art here in
Kansas City!

Best,

Mike

Just finished watching the film of you printing. Wow! Big and very
impressive. Tell me about the paper out and over? Looks like magic. Bea
