Send Message: To this poster

The one week waiting period for Exchange #30 participants wishing to
participate in #30 ended Saturday morning and those in the 'Holding Pen'
have been appended to the participant list (and the overflow transferred to
the 'Waiting List'). Characters were assigned in order of sign-up
(apologies to those of you who wanted a different character).

Because of each of you will complete the assigned alphabet letter or symbol
and deliver your edition of 31 to the coordinator by February 1, 2007 it is
especially important that noone withdraw after December 31, 2006! PLEASE -
if you have ANY doubt whether you'll be able to deliver your prints on time,
WITHDRAW as EARLY as possible so your character can be assigned to the next
person on the waiting list and the exchange can be completed on time and in
full!

Sharri LaPierre has graciously volunteered to coordinate this exchange and
she will be contacting all the participants and waitlisters soon. You may
contact her directly via the coordinator31@barenforum.org (email sent to
this address comes to both Sherry and me).

Complete details of exchange #31 are on-line at
http://barenforum.org/exchange/exchange_31/exchange_31.html -- if your name
appears below but you do NOT wish to participate, PLEASE let us know
immediately by writing coordinator31@barenforum.org otherwise, "CUT, PRINT,
and GOOD LUCK" - your assigned letter or symbol appears to the left of your
name below - no substitutions, please!

Please go to our website - www.graphicchemical.com. We carry blankets and a sister company Printmakers Machhine Co. sells press beds - what is the size it needs to be - for instance, a bedplate 18 x 48 x 1/2" costs $160 plus shipping charges.

Please let me know if you need more information.

What is the thought on these? the price certainly is right. Are they cheap
steel though?

Almost certainly cheap everything.

Sets like this are ok for a few reasons:
- cheap entry level to get all the tools needed to get started.
- figure out which particular tools you really need, maybe just 3 or 4
of these, depending on what you are doing.
- learning how to sharpen tools without wasting expensive steel.
- modifying cutting edges for very specific tasks.

Otherwise I think that well know brand name tools are a much safer bet.
