I have been printing up a bunch of my little prints to sell on Etsy, and am
frustrated at how long the Daniel Smith waterbased relief ink is taking to dry.
I am using pthalo blue on lokta paper, and hanging them to dry. Normally this
hasn't been a problem because I printed plenty in advance of whenever I got
prints out in public, but I have been doing so much better than I expected (not
complaining, mind you!) that I am concerned about the possibility of
smearing.

I know this very topic was discussed not *too* long ago, but can't seem to
pry it out of the archives - any suggestions on what to do/not to do? Slightly
thin the ink? Layer the prints in absorbant paper and iron? Help!

I have been just storing all the YOTD cards unopened in a drawer as they came
in, saving them up for a time when I really needed a lift. That time came
this weekend - I had a splendid session of opening cards and savoring wonderful
art.

That would have been boost enough, but there was a lovely surprise as well!
One of the supposed cards wasn't a dog at all, but a grand gesture instead. A
benefactor from overseas took pity on my reason for not having sent out *my*
cards, and mailed me enough money so I can go ahead and mail them out. It's a
good thing I finally got around to opening the cards, or I never would have
known :^) A big shout of thanks to The Benefactor (you know who you are!). A true
Patron of the Arts...

So, y'all can expect to be receiving yet another delinquent hound in the next
couple of weeks, as soon as they dry enough for mailing.

This is the comment Carol Wagner wrote about Baren when, with 44 members,
she participated in our First Puzzle Print:contributing her woodcut waterfall:
A waterfall for Baren because Baren had become a "watershed"
in my current lifestream .

We will all miss her.
