Greetings to you all,
Well, the preview evening is over.
I never imagined that it would be so successful : 16 prints sold in the first hour. The venue, of course, was ideal for my particular Viking/Anglo Saxon and Medieval prints. The 15 piece Lincoln Renaissance Band enhance the whole evening with members of my family serving refreshments. I was particularly pleased that Lincolnshire Baren members were there and I trust they had a grand evening. I'm now looking forward to meeting the general public when the Old Hall holds a craft weekend late November. The help and support I received from local people, artists and the Hall keepers was exceptional.

Congratulations Harry! How very exciting and gratifying - only wish
I'd been there - I think I'm always
in the U.K at the wrong time of year.........

Congratulations, Harry!
I love the way your prints are displayed. Did you build the hanging
racks? They're beautiful! The charm of the building combined with
the warmth of family participation, your enthusiastic personality,
the sound of a band, and of course, your wonderful prints, seems to
have made a perfect package. The success of your opening
demonstrates the positive effects of sharing beyond the prints on the
paper. Wish I could have been there.
Best wishes,

Hi Harry,
Have you recovered? :-) It was great to meet you.

Your exhibition was utterly brill, I loved your work, very inspiring.
I'd seen it on the website, but in the flesh it's even better, with
subtle tones and the texture of the block pressing into the paper. The
old Hall was a fabulous venue. Hubby and I enjoyed it very much. The
Medieval Band was icing on the cake. Luvverly! Thank you for having us!

Harry!!! Congratulations! It looks to have been a wonderful exhibition and opening. I'm thrilled you sold so well, too... That's always gratifying to an artist, knowing their work is going to be appreciated long after the show.

Send Message: To this poster

Greetings Bareners,

Four Oceans Press is nearing the end of our first print exchange and we are quite excited about the turn out. So far we have 13 of 25 prints in and currently on display on our permanent archive page. [] Several of the artists are bareners’ whom you already ‘know’ and there are many who are new to print exchanges. Take a look at the archive to see the amazing work some of your peers have done.

Our exchange is open to anyone, but since we have both been involved with the BarenForum for a while now we are partial to the Baren artists. We hope you will consider joining our Winter Exchange. All of the details can be found on our website at

Take a look, Read, Consider and then e-mail us to sign up. We would love to have another large contingent from the BarenForum. If you can not get involved this time, check our website quarterly for our next exchange. If you want to give yourself more time sign up now for the Spring Exchange with the prints due on April 15, 2008. [We think printing is more fun the taxes.]

Heather and I have both learned so much from being involved in print exchanges and even more from coordinating our first exchange. We have also been blessed to meet a few of the printmaker in our exchange. It is exciting and we want you all involved.
