I too am saddened to hear about Wanda. I will think of her traveling
in the wind and in the beautiful forests. I have a few of her prints
and will look at them fondly keeping her warm and generous spirit in
mind. My sincere condolences to her friends here at Baren and to her
family, we were all richer for having known her.

Hi, Annie,

I'm so glad that you 'used yourself up' at SGC! It's always
such a waterfall of prints and ideas and presses and exhibits
and new things and people. I find it hard to pack that much
into such a tiny time! Sure is fun trying, though!

And it was kind of you to bring us along as you did! I simply
wouldn't have had the generosity or energy to post such good
reports after such exciting, exhausting days.

The Columbia College/Anchor Graphics folks are spearheading the
hosting next spring, and have already been hard at work for the
past year. David Jones will do a spectacular job!

The call for proposals ends at the end of this month. Folks at
Barenforum should be thinking seriously about contributing in
that way!

I do look forward to a Baren gathering at the SGC next spring.
We'll get some planning done and have dinner together one of the
evenings! I do recommend that you all come a day or so early,
or stay an extra day!

Greetings,

My name is William Joel, and I'm a college prof teaching Computer
Graphics and Animation in Western Connecticut. I'm also the director
of our school's Center for Graphics Research; BTW, I'm a Computer
Science Professor.

I got started with printing as a teen when I taught myself woodcut
and silk screen techniques. I did *alot* of experimenting in these
styles in our basement; we had a very large table there I could use.
I've been making prints ever since.
