"Oh to be in England now that April's there..."

As long as some of you will be in London you may want to go the Victoria
and Albert Museum, Herbert Cole section, Research Library for prints and
drawings, and see some of my prints in that collection .

E 748 Landscape Resonance
E 749 Sepia # 17 These are unique ink prints
in an experimental method I devised.

A few years later:
E 231.5 Blooms
The curator said you don't have
to tell us how you do it, We want it..

The Research Library is open a couple of times a week and at certain hours
for questions and queries. I happened to go there with my prints, wanting to
know what I should do with them (My exact words) I was fortunate in speaking
to the head curator, Lionel Lambourne, and had a wonderful informative art
chat with him. He acquired the first 2 prints above and told me of their
historic resonance, which I knew nothing about.. That was a high point!!!
I was happy to correspond with Lionel Lambourne and be taken for "tea" when
he retired.

Enjoy!

Anyone in Southern Ontario or the Buffalo NY and environs should
consider a trip to Grimsby for their 30th Annual Wayzgoose. Grimsby
is about an hour north of Buffalo on the QEW; the all seeing, all
knowing Google can show you exactly where it is.

"Every year on the last Saturday in April, the Grimsby Public Art
Gallery celebrates Wayzgoose, a festival of Book Arts. This annual
book arts fair brings together private presses from all across Canada
and the United States representing the renewal of old friendships,
the beginning of new ones, and the appreciation for handmade book and
paper arts. Demonstrations and displays of paper making, book
binding, calligraphy, paper marbling, and book making celebrates the
love of fine art, fine craft, and stories."
There are a lot of engravers showing their art at the Festival and
lots of suppliers: paper, wood blocks and cold type come to mind.

By the looks of it spring will be in full force by the 26th of this
April so a trip to the top of the Niagara Escarpment for a picnic
overlooking Lake Ontario is a great follow-up. It's in a region
loaded with wineries as well.

If you are coming please drop me a line and we can meet there.

Clive

Hello Bareners: I bought a mini press in Jerrys arterama in Texas. I think it is Chinese. The dimensions are:
DEMINSIONS OF PRESS:12.75"X 9.75"X 6.75 ISWITHOUT THE HANDLE OR CRANKS. The roller is about 1.5 inches The problem is that I cannot get enough pressure to do intaglio. Can do linoleum fairly well. I am dampening the paper. Do you have any suggestions?

Thank you for the advice.
Greetings , Guadalupe
