Mike,
I did not read all that print in your catalogue but sure enjoyed the
visual art. You have shown us work before, but I do not think as many
at one time. Scanning through those images gave me an entirely
different perspective of your work. I saw the depth of passion and
soul that I never saw before. What wonderful imagery. congrats!

Wow. I have to strongly disagree with this statement. This would mean that my favorite artist didn't make art most of the time. Here is a short list of some of my favorite artists who by this definition didn't always make "art" Goya, Kathe Kollwitz, Max Bechmann, George Grosz, Otto Dix,
Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, Picasso, Daumier, Hogarth, Jose Clemente Orozco..... i could go on and on. Sharri LaPierre, Annie Bissett, shall i keep going?
Maybe i should move on to Literature and Music that wouldn't qualify either. I also think by this definition all religious art would have to be considered propaganda as well.

Thanks! Well here's a video walk-through of the exhibition - sadly it is so
dim and 'yellow' in the exhibition room that the video is almost black and
white - my EYE sees the color, but the camera does NOT. Sigh.

Well, it's only 12 of my work plus 18 Japanese prints. But it's luscious to
ME!

Yeah, I completely disagree with this too on all counts. This narrow
definition of art would exclude so much in not just visual art but in
literature and music as well.

Oh sorry. ;-j YMMV means Your Mileage May Vary, or that's my opinion, you may have another. ;-]

That's what's great about debate. It takes all sides.

Now I'd better stop posting before I get in trouble with the one-post rule. ;- j
