Thanks for your input, Michelle. And everyone.
I'm brushing on my inks and want some of the brushstrokes to come
through rather than the texture of the paper over riding that. I also
print dry.
I'm not using a press, though I have one, I prefer hand rubbing for
more control. I like the plate surface of Arches 88 and wish it came
in a lighter weight. I have not tried the Hahnemuhl. The Magnania
Pescia(?) I've been eyeing to purchase. BFK in a lighter weight was
also going to be on the list. I'd like to try some japanese papers
too. I see McClains has an inexpensive sampler that's on my to get list.

Great article, Jeff. I felt your discomfort over the chairs.
I was wondering if the photographer was still in court over that.
Frankly, as an illustrator who's oh so aware of these issues, I was
shocked that Mr. Fairey used another artist's image. It's a small
world and hard to get away with that. And I agree that civility would
solve allot of problems. I had some of my illustration work used in
collage by a well known illustrator without my permission and it
really rubbed me the wrong way. He did not contact me but did give me
a credit. Regardless, I was not pleased and let him know it.
