I received the exchange this morning and I keep going back to each one over and over. There are so many techniques represented here! I feel like I have opened a treasure box. I am going to shre these with my local art guild to help educate them on printmaking.

Well done everyone!

Being another who isn't completely caught up on my boars, I can empathize with Charles -- and appreciate the industry!

I agree with Diane, art doesn't like to be rushed. But it does like to be nudged. I need a deadline to get the juices flowing in the first place, but when it's a hard and fast deadline I feel the quality sometimes suffers. I hate to be slap-dash, but sometimes I'm just trying to get them out the door. That's why I haven't participated in exchanges this past year (that and getting sick).

I think I'm ready to jump back in, perhaps with those pesky boars... ;- j

I recently attended the fantastic exhibit of Francis Gearhart's prints at the Pasadena Museum of California Art in Pasadena, California. It was a great exhibit, showing probably 100 or more of her prints. We really enjoyed it. But, there was no exhibit catalog. Apparently I wasn't the only one who expressed disappointment (I cherish exhibit catalogs, I look at them often) because there was a sign-up sheet if you wanted to be notified when they printed it up. Anyway, I just got the email and ordered my copy. I thought there might be few of you that were interested, so here is the link to the book:

Today I added two more impressions on the Ten Little Nine Little print. These shapes are based on photographs of hepatitis virus particles. I found one photo in particular where the particles seemed to be dyed or colored red and green, so I went with that - a nod to the Christmas season.

Here are the two blocks before I printed:
