Mike, the Drury Gallery space is lovely and your prints/drawings look
great. I enjoyed the video for giving a sense of scale. Man, your
work is big! Congratulations on the show.

Hi Bridget,
I would suggest packing an msds with the ink - you probably will have better luck if it's not in your carry on. The flash point should be in the msds sheet which will indicate that it's not a problem. If you need one please e-mail susanc@graphicchemical.com. I'll look on Monday for a distributor that carries printmaking supplies.
Have a great trip!

Harry, I love this latest little print, thanks for sharing. Your work
is always a delight.

Mike, wow, wow, wow. What a beautiful gallery exhibit. When you said
you had one too many martinis and than the video was not there with
the first link I thought oh dear maybe he did. (I am teasing you
here, you had every right to be happy and celebrate) Soooo glad you
corrected that link it was a privilege to view your awe inspiring
work. Once again congratulations. You have a right to a big ego, you
earned it!

Ooops, sorry for the second post. I did have an experience regarding
flying with oil based inks. They took away my putz pomade for
polishing copper plates because the very last ingredient in it was
"flammable." I lied when they asked about the oil based inks and said
they were acrylic. I hated doing that but really did not want to
loose my inks. I got away with it once but would not want to do that
one again. I doubt you will be able to fly with them unless you can
get clearance ahead of time a prove to them that your inks will not
catch on fire. If you can arrange to purchase some at your
destination that would work. I would not even fly with my Guerra
pigment dispersions last season and they are not oil based. But they
have a big danger label right on each bottle. I was afraid that would
alert the airline people and they would throw them out. You could take
powdered pigment and learn how to make your own ink. This is where
those who work in water media have it over the oil media people.
Maybe you should learn hanga and take water based along?

Harry,

Canterbury Birds is exquisite! Your line is always so "right". If you were
drawing it, I could understand your ability to capture the antiquity of the
image, but to render it in a block print is unbelievable. Bravo!

I really appreciate that you showed the progression from key line to color
impressions. It helps the rest of us to ponder a little better your process
and thinking.

Namaste,
Eileen

Just checked out your youtube. Very nice show! And I like the video itself, with nods to Mom and Dad...Are just the largest heads digital drawings? I am still blown away by the scale of the (woodblock) big heads, really nice printing. I know how difficult it is because I have plenty of trouble printing 26 inches!

Best wishes for lots of red dots!

Here's video of a gallery walk-through with the director, Rebecca Miller a
couple hours before the opening. I think she did a fantastic job hanging
the show and... Well, aside from having had one two many martinis at dinner
with the arts faculty last night, it just all went so wonderfully well!
YAY!!!

I'm so sorry to have to do this, but I need to drop out of Exchange 44. I
recently learned that my office is relocating, and completing this reduction
print for the May 1st deadline while preparing to move just isn't going to
be possible for me. I wish everyone the best of luck with these prints!

Best regards,

The address is: printalliance@mindspring.com
If things are bouncing there must be a problem with the site and I am sure they will take care of it.. Someone will call them if it does not clear up in a day or so
My best
Barbara
