I was wondering how you use Sculpey plates for printmaking. Could you
share that with us or else email me privately?
Thanks,
Jean

Hi all - Clive- I remember those prints well - they were gorgeous but
can't recall the name of the artist..?
Barbara, prints stretched over 3D armatures like the Bontecues could
work really well - her work is stunning - newer things I saw not long
ago were Calder-like mobiles with (also) diaphanous elements (looking
like big butterfly wings or??) hanging along with wire, glass and
beaded stuff - not unlike the much larger prints on silk (or ?) hanging
in layers at the Japanese Foundation....

I am planning to use fabric and print it Intaglio...I think it will work. If anyone had done this, was the fabric damp?
Thanks to everyone for all the great ideas, I am saving them all! I have almost a year to figure this out so I am excited to see what I come up with, I have sure enjoyed seeing what everyone is doing with prints
My best

I printed an aquatint on light weight silk. The silk was adhered to damp paper with powdered
dry wallpaper paste, like chine colle. If you can get the fabric to lay flat you could use
damp paper and no paste. I think you have to use damp paper to get a good impression.

Barbara,
I've printed paper photocopy lithography using oil paint with a little stand oil onto dry fabrics
- cotton and a poly-sheer type using my etching press.
They both took the image really well and the 'hand' seems to be just fine. I haven't tried to wash
them, and won't either. The limitations were with the poor transfer quality.

I had better results when I printed akua intaglio inks on a woodblock to dry canvas using the etching press.
I got very sharp and clear images.

Sounds like you are in for a fun time! I hope you share the results with us.

It is interesting to see the variety of ideas that are being shared!

I did a seies of installations with prints on gauze with a central tower
of screenprints on panels I used doors hinged together in a circle of
V's for the panels.
I have some images on my website.
