I also wondered about self publishing a book of some sort on my River series
Someone pointed me to www.createspace.com. It's actually owned by Amazon but allows
you to make 1 or 1 million books. You can have people buy online or you buy and sell
them yourself.

Too much information about it to share here so go to the link. I think it's a great deal.

Do any of you know where to get a window or matt cutter? They are very expensive here and I am doing my own by hand.

This is where I got mine:

I think they have pretty good prices.  Also have you tried Craigslist Mexico for any available locally?   http://geo.craigslist.org/iso/mx

Jean/Linda
Lulu.com and Blurb.com are 2 other sources for self publishing 1 or 1
million. Not sure about coloring books and paper choice options for
something like that but anything is possible.

ASW announced a sale on Logan matt cutters this morning. Be
sure to get the one with the long right angle edge bar!

They're wonderful cutters. We use them at the college.

This seems to be a good price!

Best wishes,

I agree, this is a no fail mat cutter. I had a fancier one and sold it to keep
using this one as it is so very accurate.

Dan Dew! Congratulations Dan!!!

First, thank you all for "playing". It is always an incredible exercise in
humility for a loner-do-it-all-by-myselfer like me to find out how rich the
collective mind can be.

Dan's contribution was "Terra Tribuo" Latin for Divided Earth. With that, I
dusted off my rusty Latin and I added a little something, making the final
title:

"Terra Tribuo

Terra Partis"

(Divided Earth, Shared Earth)

Awesome Dan! Thank you.

Here's the print again for those of you who are currently saying 'huh?'

As promised, Dan just send my your current address and a nice fresh proof
will be on the way to you.

Thanks Bareners, you're the VERY BEST!

Maria

The private view of my exhibition of 48 engravings was a great success but there was no time to reflect as the next day saw us heading down to Essex to a family wedding. One extra pleasure was staying at the bed and breakfast establishment of printmaker Akiko Fujikawa. She is a friend of Nana Shiomi - they had both been at Art In Action with me in 2007 - and also gives courses in hanga printmaking.

Returning from the wedding, I had just two days to collect everything together and head over to Oxfordshire again and, on the wednesday, everything was packed into the car and I set off.

It felt like home to be back in the printmaking tent. I set to hanging framed work and setting out my tables:
