Happy Solstice everyone. Just a little reminder that today is the last day to
sign up for the SSNW10 exchange. As of today, we have 30 participants.

Please note: This is a private exchange, NOT sponsored by Baren, although a
number of Bareners do participate.

Cheers ...... Charles

Dear subscribers and past subscribers to Contemporary Impressions,

Our new online searchable version of the Guide to Printmaking, Papermaking and
Book Arts Workshops is going live! Tuesday, December 21, marks a full moon, a
full lunar eclipse, theWinter Solstice and our new Guide.

Go to www.PrintAlliance.org, go to the Library section and click on Workshops,
or just click here: www.printalliance.org/alliance/al_subform.html. Be ready
with the password you use to access other subscriber areas of our website, like
the popular List of Competitive Exhibitions. This is another free benefit for

running late, please forgive us, it will be out sometime in January with the
gift print by Ibrahim Miranda). So take a moment right now to renew your
subscription for 2011 -- or subscribe now if you have lapsed! The form is
at www.printalliance.org/alliance/al_subform.html, you can send a check or use
our PayPal button and simply fill in the amount (plus $2 for thePayPal fee) and
your own email and password.

The Alliance is here for you with all the resources of our website, the journal,
traveling exhibitions, Print Dialogue Days, PrintSpin and so much more. Please
consider an extra tax-exempt contribution before the end of the year to help us
advocate for you and bring the print arts to the widest audience!

Thank you! Best wishes for the New Year,
Carol

Hello,

My name is Jeff Ruminski and I currently reside in the Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina (US).

I had my first exposure to commercial printing when I was 15 years old and have now spent over half my life with the focus of ink on paper. Throughout my professional career, I have worked in a variety of positions within the print industry, including illustration, prepress, graphic design, and most recently management.

Earlier this month, I came to the conclusion that I truely missed the creative process and resolved to fill that void. Once again turning to ink on paper, I began to research traditional and artistic printing.

So here I find myself, eager to learn and cut more wood. I just completed my first woodcut a couple days ago.

I am looking forward to making your aquaintences as I explore the medium.

Sincerely,
Jeff Ruminski
