With the last set of prints en route to me, I'm beginning work on the
colophon for Exchange #47.

If you have not yet sent the print information, please take a minute to get
that little task done.

Thank you all participants for your hard work and patience. I will open the
rest of the prints and collate this upcoming weekend. Prints should be
mailed out beginning Monday, March 14th.

Almost there!

Maria

Hello to all,

Just wanted to share my most recent exciting news -- I currently have a small
show in a gallery (the Harrison Center) in Indianapolis! My work is not in
the main gallery -- it's in a side hallway --but this is still very exciting for
me.

The story of how this came about is a crazy one -- I found out on the Monday
before the opening that the gallery wanted to show my work, so I had three
days to finish some pieces and reprint some pieces and make frames and so
on.

Here's a link to the prints that are showing in the gallery:
http://cargocollective.com/JLR/filter/harrison-center
And here are some images of the show itself:

Four woodcuts (including the first woodcut I ever did -- crazy!), one
lithograph, one etching, and two books.

Thanks for looking!

forward to seeing what everyone has done.

So the other night I was kind of in the mood to paint but not quite in the mood to get out paints. The result - several hours spent on a painting done with Akua Kolor inks and Akua Intaglio gold on canvas. Any suggestions on how to get it to dry, and if it will ever dry? Anyone know if there is some kind of spray I could use on it? The other alternative I thought of was scrapping the painting and trying to pull a monotype from it, but the ink is thick in places and I think it's possible I would end up with something that looked like mud. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Andrea Starkeywww.starkeyart.blogspot.comwww.starkeyart.com

Hi fellow rabbiters,I have started sending out my rabbits and will continue to do so gradually to stretch the cost out a bit. I'm just checking up on the details in the list that have changed. I have Jeanne's address as 1817 not 1864 and Peri Howard seems to have moved - address unknown. Are there any other changes at all? Loving my rabbit letters :)Some are traveling with tigers too!Thank you,Linden

Well this was fun.  I had to stop myself from printing up every leftover piece of paper in the studio.  I only need 14 for the Leftovers II exchange.

I print my woodblocks face down, but this is basically how I aligned my leftover pieces of paper on the block.

Haven't decided if I'll sign and label them on the back, or on the front with a metalic pen.  Don't know which "rule" to break:  the sign-it-in-pencil rule or the sign-it-on-the-front rule.  ;- j

Any suggestions?

Well, March has certainly come in like a wild beast... a lot of thrashing about and general chaos. Progress on the linocut-formerly-known-as-a-yellow-rectangle has been slow... I seem to be easily overwhelmed right now. Pushing forward is the key, regardless of discomfort, so here we are. This piece is a shot in the reduction printing dark for me, as two colors from now I want an ink layer to
