Good Morning Eli and all,

I like to begin, or close to the beginning, of the workshop or talk about woodblocks, print a print -- sometimes those who have not printed before have a tough time envisioning exactly how all of that magic takes place. No matter how many times I've done this there is that surprise that is so intriguing of seeing that image pulled from the block. I print western/oily style, so far, but the surprise remains the same (and I remain addicted to experiencing that surprise). Some do not expect the mirror image and that makes for an interesting challenge. Best wishes on your workshops and enjoy the group's efforts.

Lots of great (very rainy) printmaking weather here in western Oregon.

My very best 'Thank You' to everyone here, I appreciate all the useful material,
tips and the sharing of your experiences at teaching woodcut and I hope to let
you know in the near future of my first successful workshop.

Cheers
