Can you tell me where to find the information on the inspired by Japan benefit? Not sure where to look. Is it too late to join this benefit and if so, I can still look for a place to show the work in Michigan. Thanks, Ruth Egnater

Ruth,
If you ca have 31 prints to me by the end of June, I think you can join.
The links are on the front of the Baren website
www.barenforum.org
I will add your name to the list and look forward to seeing the prints. I will
be posting more info on this later this week so stay posted
My best to all

Me too, Gayle. Slower than slow is my name. I had to completely
start over a week or so ago and then time has been hard to come by. I
have three prints of the first block of 3 printed. I hope to finish
in the next two weeks, or else... But first I have to stop everything
and make an apron for Grace who will be 13 on Tues. and has way
outgrown her child size apron long ago.

Shingles: GET THE VACCINE. My daughter-in-law had a severe case of
shingles about 5 - 7 years ago and has suffered permanent damage to
the big nerve that goes down one leg. She has to wear a pain-killer
patch now all the time. And, as we know, that just lessens the pain,
it doesn't get rid of it. So glad you came through without that
outcome, Barbara and Bea.

Barbara, at some point maybe we can meet for that lunch and work out
the verbiage for the brochure?

Cheers ~
Sharri

Two subjects:
Book : Elements of Japanese Design ,Tuttle Publishing --key terms for
understanding and using Japan's Classic Concepts
38 concepts, easy, and enjoyable to read. Can be useful
For example--FUKINSEI (Foo-keen-say-ee), the charm of
asymmetry.

Shingles: I got the shingles vaccination last year and glad of it.
Family members have already had shingles. Not good!

Best to all
Carol

Subject: Mystique Series #14 : pattern block carving continues ...
Posted by: Dave Bull

Mixed weather here these days ... a bit of rain, a bit of sun ...

None of that makes much difference down in the workshop, because it's 'carving season'; work is continuing on the colour blocks for Mystique #14. I began - as usual - with the one that would take the most time, and it was finished up yesterday evening:
