After comparing its performance to a few smaller ones, I finally realized
that my biggest brush is badly in need of reconditioning. I probably didn't
do as good a job on it to begin with (although I don't understand why), and
it seems to have degraded over time. I dread going back to the dragon skin,
which took a lot of skin off my knuckles. It also didn't seem as effective
in splitting the ends as it was on my smaller brushes, despite taking at
least twice as long. I recall people posting in the distant past about
alternate conditioning techniques (including Dave's sharkskin disk sander).
Has anyone tried something they found to be convenient and effective?

Thanks,

Alex

I am on the last color of my 101 prints...actually just printing the third color again.
Usually I don't print all 100 at once but the other night I was a printing machine...and after about 50 the block was printing so well it was just amazing. I don't think I ever got to that spot before with a block....it was so primed it was like glass. I needed so little pigment and paste and water...it was truly wonderful. So folks, we need to print way larger editions and toss the first 50...hahahaha
Really, it was startling how well it printed. A revelation.... I may not live long enough to really learn how to do this!
My best to you all
