This is my first woodblock print, done on birch faced
plywood normally used for kitchen cabinets, printed with oil based
ink on Arches 88, on a press especially made for Marylhurst
University. The subjects are faces I see every day. The burro's name
is 'Margarita' and the sheep on the right is named 'Lambie' - a
purebred Border Leisester ewe given to me when she was 2 days old.
She is now ancient in sheep years - 12 years old. Three of my
menagerie of farm animals, and I'm sure you'll see all of them
eventually!
I loved cutting the wood, it's such an interactive exercise! I'm
hooked!
