Oil-based ink on Mulberry paperI wanted to do something origional but in the style of Durer, so I found his coat of arms and drew my self as a supporter, but in the picture, the shield is supporting me. I have a book because I am studying his work, and the smaller sheild is my device, letting the viewer know who the supporter is. Most people do not reconize his shield, so I have inlarged his initals, and an angle in his style highlights it all. One 'oops', I signed on the back side..... Too long looking at that version of the image while carving.
