My block is one of many i found at a yard sale with mahogany veneer on one side and teak on the other-used for ship's models , i believe. The title is also an homage- to the short story ,'A Pair of Lovers' by Elsie Singmaster Lewars , one of my favorite dog stories. The red is printed with an actual sprig of eastern white CEDAR .
