Name: Sharri LaPierre
Comments: Wanda was a dear friend and one of my favorite roommates. We shared a room in Edinburgh, Kansas City & at the OR coast. This print shows Wanda at her best - uplifting, loving life, going on another colorful adventure in her own inimitable way. I persevered through hanga in honor of Wanda and her love & mastery of this process and used a "cartoon" look as we had discussed both learning to draw by copying the comics page from the newspaper when we were young & foolish. I like the idea of Wanda floating away beneath colorful balloons on her way to the next place - full of spontaneity & optimism. I miss her terribly.
