I was privileged to have met her just the once in Portland in 2001. Rest in Peace Wanda.

An old vintage photograph in black and white was the inspiration for this print. Because Wanda was a “farm girl” and this was one of my favourite photos about time, travel and incredible odds getting from one place to another with unbuilt roads and unknown destinies I thought this photo was appropriate especially putting it into a sunset setting.
Wanda’s contribution to Baren was very much appreciated even from someone on the opposite side of the world.
