Comments: This was a reduction print.  I was surprised at how translucent the Unryu paper becomes after layers of transparent ink.  The moth glows best when the print is set on a white piece of paper.
I was inspired to create this image when I came upon a small box on a top shelf that contained the body of a luna moth.  We had found the moth in the fall, quietly lying below some trees.  I learned that these moths are short-lived, spending their summer quickly reproducing before they die.   Such ephemeral beauty.
