This is an image inspired by an old typewriter that I pulled from a dumpster. I couldn’t bear the thought of such a fine example of ingenuity and craftsmanship going to the landfill, even if its usefulness has been outmoded. I wanted to pay homage to the antiquated typewriter (one stage in the evolution of typography). It now lives in my studio, happily ever after.
