Web Gallery Manager Comments:

I couldn't help myself but to comment on this particular set of prints. First, I drove 5 hours two-way trip to help our valiant coordinator and manager collate and so I thought I deserved the privilege. Second, I just love this set of prints!

I confess to be a "map junkie". I love the way maps look, the symbols, the colors, how they are meticulously made and the vast variety of mapping techniques through the history of mankind. But mostly, I love maps because they take us to any place we want to go and always tell us where we are with respect to the entire rest of the world. Think about it, there is something truly magical about maps, listen to their secrets.

I believe this tiny collection represents everything that maps have to give and much more. You really have to feel the velvety surface of Viza's print, follow Barbara's and Louise's trails, interpret the familar symbols from Julio, Kris, Tibi and Gillyin, enjoy Ray's intricacy of design and evoke all the feelings that maps give us with the images from Joseph, George, Lynne and Wouter. And all the others too. Enjoy this fine collection.
