As I thought about the concept of 'Ju nin, To iro' I
remembered a Caribbean trip to St. Lucia. The women who worked at the
hotel restaurant were all wearing the same uniform and the same hair
decoration but they demonstrated their individuality through their
personal hair style. I went back and found my sketch and I hope I am
able to share the pleasure of our favorite Caribbean stay at the Anse
Chastanet Hotel.
The print is made on Mulberry using oil based ink.
