The sketch for this print started as a design of DNA,
changed to a pattern of hands (using wood grain to represent
fingerprints), then somehow ended up as a row of birds on a telephone
wire. In working with the theme, Ju Nin, To Iro, I wanted to show
that although we are all of one species, we are individuals with
unique personalities; we are one flock with different feathers.
